On Saturday, March 21 we met with Liz Powell (Associate Professor of Psychology at Vanguard University, Associate Dean, Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences) to discuss the topic of mental health.
One thing that I came away with is the reminder that we as men often hide our stress/fears/concerns deep inside in order to keep our loved ones from feeling similar stress. This sometimes can be a fallacy, and does not do much for our mental health.
Roger took some valuable notes, and we have included them with his permission. Also, Liz shared a useful infographic to help us identify our feelings and provide a way to describe them.
