It is a period for recognizing the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history\, culture\, and achievements of the United States. \nHowever\, current events show that those contributions are easily forgotten. The animosity against Asian Americans has been on the rise across the country since the pandemic began. \nIn Orange County\, hate crimes again Asian Americans have increased 10 fold since January 2020 according to OC Human Relations.
